Whelp. Turns out the specialists are more concerned about our little baby's weight than anticipated. They're talking about doing a C-section...soon...so that the baby can begin to 'thrive' on the outside of the womb. Apparently, it's done all it can do in utero.
Would y'all please be praying for us as we meet with our Doctor today and decide what to do? We trust him and are thankful for his guidance.
Our God is good in all things and great peace can be found in that.
You will be in my prayers all day! God knows what he is doing and very soon you will be holding your precious new baby.

ReplyDeleteI hope that they are right, and not making a guess about you! I will be praying for you. Sometimes God gives us wisdom to go beyond the Dr we've trusted to make our own decisions, and to get a second opinion. I had to learn this the hard way. Is your placenta breaking down? If not, your baby is still being nourished. Praying for your, and your Drs wisdom. Dont be afraid to call your own shots. Its not a one size fits all with a Dr.
ReplyDeleteKeep in mind, "thriving" outside the uterus, when not ready to be born yet, often means "thriving" in the nicu, with formula replacements. Trust your body. Your body was created for growing and birthing.
DeleteI agree with and second this!
DeleteI will keep you and your family in my prayers.

ReplyDeleteYou're obviously covered in prayer, Shaye. God is your refuge and strength. He loves your little one more than you do and He will do what is best. Rest in Him, in his goodness. Many blessings to you as you'll soon be holding this new baby in your arms, one way or another.
