And here I was, thinking that because I'm, like, so organized, I could handle it.
Nope. I can't.
What they say is true....
It is humanly impossible to keep your house clean with a toddler.
Truly. Impossible.
The tupperware goes in the cupboards, the tupperware comes out of the cupboards. A thousand times.
Toys go into the basket, toys come out of the basket and are strewn across the floor. Always.
Clean diapers are dragged here and there.
There are clothes. Blankets. Socks. Shoes. Sippy cups. Cords. Books. Hair brushes. Wipes.
And if I pick it up and put it away...it shan't be long until it makes it's appearance once again.
And her favorite stuffed animal piggy? Well, he's always on the move.
I swear I clean my house - multiple times per day - I swear! But if you randomly stopped by to say hello, well my friend, the Lord has his ways of humbling us - doesn't he?
Amidst the chaos of a walking and adventurous little one, I'm thankful to have at least one thing in order: here's our menu for the next week!
Note: When I say "fresh fruit", I mean apples and pears we picked from the nearby orchard. That's what's in season and that's what we've got!

Saturday
Free-bird Saturday.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to throw caution to the wind and clean my house even though I know in approximately 4.5 minutes it will be destroyed, once again.
Send reinforcement.
And have a great weekend!

There's a difference in cluttered and dirty. Try dividing the toys into to or three groups and rotate them from time to time...I kept them in big paper grocery sacks up in the closet and changed them out when Baby was sleeping. Keeps their interest more and reduces the mess. Try those safety locks on the cupboards.
ReplyDeleteHang in there, don't obsess, just straighten up at naptime and bedtime, and enjoy your baby. She won't be little forever. I know...I'm a mother of four and grandmother of seven!
I use to tell people that if I stop by to see me come anytime, if I stop by to see my house, make an appointment!
